Earth Hour

On Saturday March 25, 2017 from 8:30pm - 9:30pm, the Town of Halton Hills will once again join communities in Canada and around the world in participating in Earth Hour by turning off any unnecessary lights, reducing energy consumption and addressing climate change. Earth Hour brings awareness to global warming and environmental protection. It is no longer just about turning the lights off for an hour. Instead, Earth Hour is an opportunity to promote year-round conservation and the taking of long-lasting actions that benefit our planet. All residents, businesses and organizations are invited to participate.

In recognition of Earth Hour and to promote year-round energy conservation the Town is partnering with Halton Hills Hydro and Wastewise to host an e-waste round-up during the week of March 18 - 25, 2017. Bring your unused electronics to Wastewise to recycle them or pass them onto someone else who can use them. Wastewise will measure the collective amount of e-waste brought into the Centre during this week.

For more information, please visit the Town's Earth Hour page.
