The 'Photo Art' competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers and promotes 'excellence in the art of photography' within the community of Halton Hills, ON. The Halton Hills Camera Club has proudly sponsored this prestigious event for 37 years and continues to raise awareness and promote photography as an art form. The event is held in the winter of each year (generally towards the end of February) and is open to adults, youth and children. The competition itself is open to the residents of the Town of Halton Hills and current members of the Halton Hills Camera Club, but images may be taken anywhere in the world.

What are the hallmarks of a winning image in PhotoArt? Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so too is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment. Over the past 37 years, our judges have seen thousands of photographs from hundreds of entrants and we continue to look forward to viewing the world through your own unique lens.

Enter photographs in any of our categories – Oh Canada, Flowers & Foliage; Creatures & Critters; People; Scenery; Objects & Abstracts; Architecture; Open Mono; Creative, as well as Children's and Youth – and compete to win prizes. After reviewing the contest rules and list of frequently asked questions, you will be fully prepared to enter the contest.
