Georgetown Thai Cuisine
Georgetown Thai Cuisine is thrilled to invite you to attend their 10 Year Anniversary Celebration. The event will take place on Sunday September 11th, from 11am- 2pm, on Main Street (Downtown Georgetown) between Mill St. and Wesleyan St. In addition to celebrating such a milestone of service, the event will also recognize, and promote, Thai culture within the Georgetown community.
Representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy will be attendance.
Attendees will be able to participate in interactive Thai dance (Ottawa Dance Troupe), take in Muay Thai demonstrations, put on by CircaFit, as well as witness Thai paper umbrella painting, fruit carving and enjoy an authentic Thai massage. A free lunch, for all to enjoy, will be served inside Georgetown Thai Cuisine, from 12pm-2pm. Donations will be accepted for Cancer Assistance Services Halton Hills (CAShh).
Georgetown Thai Cuisine opened in 2006 as the first, and only, authentic Thai restaurant in Georgetown and is owned and operated by a local Thai family. It has been the owners’ goal to ensure restaurant patrons experience the true flavours of Thailand. Their efforts did not go unnoticed and the restaurant is the recipient of the Thai Select Award, from the Government of Thailand, an acknowledgement of traditional cooking styles, and ingredients, used within restaurant dishes.
Over the years, Georgetown Thai Cuisine has been involved in many community programs and sponsorships and owners Kate & Mai are so excited to share Thai culture with the community that has been so supportive to them throughout the past 10 years.
Please note that Main Street will be closed between Mill Street and Wesleyan from 10am to 3pm for this event.
