Dive Into Maple Syrup Season at Terra Cotta Conservation Area's Maple Syrup Festival!
Join us from March 14 to 17 and 23 to 24 for a celebration of all things maple syrup at the Terra Cotta Conservation Area in Halton Hills, Ontario. Get ready for a day packed with sweet adventures for the whole family!
A Sweet Celebration of Spring
As winter fades away and spring blooms, experience the magic of maple syrup season. Credit Valley Conservation's festival is a homage to the deep-rooted tradition of maple syrup production, offering a blend of education, entertainment, and, of course, the sweet taste of maple.
Explore Maple's Journey
From 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., immerse yourself in the history and modern techniques of maple syrup making. Their educational stations showcase the journey of maple sap to syrup, including insights into Indigenous methods, historical demonstrations, and the impact of climate change.
Engage with Indigenous Culture
This year, join the "Sacred Fire Chats" to sip on cedar tea and engage with Indigenous culture through storytelling and song. Learn from Traditional Helpers and a Fire Keeper as they share the wisdom and traditions of the land's original stewards.
Indulge in Maple Delights
No visit is complete without a stop at the Pancake House, where you can enjoy pancakes with real maple syrup and other maple-themed treats. Don't miss the warm maple taffy for a true taste of Canadian spring.
Outdoor Adventures Await
Explore the Sap Bucket Trail through the forest to the sugarbush, approximately a 1-kilometer hike from the main event area. Discover the tools and techniques used in syrup making and learn about the impact of climate change on this sweet tradition.
